| Bdelloid rotifers with 2 toes; oviparous. Characteristic of the genus is an extension of the cingulum which laterally encompasses all or part of the wheel organ, and forms a long process in C. cornigera. Dorsally, the prolonged mouth-membrane partly covers the discs in C. cornigera. The foot has either an adhesive disc or only 2 toes . |
